I wrote a letter to the UN General Assembly on two specific issues: one on remittances and the other on currency fluctuations. Both are extremely important. While we may not always see the impact, remittances are received by families that are unemployed in the home countries, and currency fluctuations lower the purchasing value of whatever money is received. Keeping currencies stable and ensuring remittances are allowed to reach their destinations with as few charges as possible is what allows poverty to be alleviated. I believe several countries have been using these letters to motivate their positions.
